Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer multiple phone lines and handle patient questions/requests - Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees - Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality - File insurance claims, preauthorizations, post payments and reconcile patient accounts - Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails - Provide general office support such as filing, scanning, and data entry Requirements:
- Previous experience at dental front desk preferred - Familiarity with processing dental insurance claims, verifying benefits a must - Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures - Proficient in using office software and computer literate - Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively -Must work well with others as a team and take direction in learning office environment.
